Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah group issued a warning about imminent attacks on US bases by telling others to “stay clear of American bases by a distance not less 1,000m starting Sunday evening.”
In response:
The US said they have identified 52 Iranian sites, some “at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD” if Tehran strikes the US.
The Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah group was commanded by Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was also killed along with Qasem Soleimani, the top Iranian general, in the recent US strike.

Soleimani was attacked as he was “plotting imminent and sinister attacks” on US diplomats and military personnel in Iraq and elsewhere in the region.
