Why did Amber Heard decide to settle for $1 million with Johnny Depp?
Because it was cheaper than paying the full settlement amount.
Heard had previously been ordered to pay more than $10m in damages to Depp, while he was ordered to pay her $2 million.
The result being that she had to pay him $8 million.
Paying just $1 million is a better option.
Johnny Depp has vowed to donate Amber Heard’s $1 million settlement payment to charity.
