I bought myself the HUAWEI G6600D Dual SIM Mobile Phone, last week.
I am using it with a Vodafone Australia sim and a TPG (Optus) sim, and everything seems pretty good.
The things I liked about it were:
- The Price: $89.
- It comes unlocked, can be used with any Sim.
- It takes TWO Sim cards at the same time.
- It has an FM radio built in.
- The QWERTY keyboard, it isn’t TOO small, just manageable for me.
For a cheap phone, I have no complaints at all.
I am a light user, and the battery indicator dropped to 3 out of 4 bars after about 3 days, so the battery life is very good compared to my old one which needed charging every night. The specifications quote: Standby Time up to 800 hours and Talk Time up to 6 hours.
The Two SIM option is excellent, giving me the ability to use two different telephone numbers in the one device. One for personal and one for business.
The camera is only a 2 megapixel one, so not that good, but I have a camera for taking pictures 🙂
It has Bluetooth and supports a MicroSD card up to 16GB.
I haven’t tried the Internet on it yet, but maybe one day I will.
This phone does NOT work with Next G, but does support the following bands: 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 1900 MHz.
