Worldwide Coronavirus Cases..

As at 22nd March 2020 01:20 GMT

307,610 Coronavirus cases have been ‘reported’ worldwide. Many more infected people may not have even been tested.

  • 95,795 (31.14% of reported cases) of these have officially recovered.
  • 13,050 (4.24% of reported cases) have died.

198,765 people are still infected, of which:

  • 9,300 (3.02% of reported cases) are in Serious or Critical condition
  • 189,465 (61.59% of reported cases) re in Mild condition

Some countries only test those that they think have the virus. Some countries only test if they think they have the virus AND they feel it is serious.

There are people being sent home from the doctors and told to isolate for 14 days, but not being tested, due to “shortage of testing kits”.

China, the country where this began in November 2019, appears to have gone past the peak of infections, with cases and deaths now reducing, as shown by this graph:

The peak in China appears to be about the 20th February 2020, which is three months after the first case (theguardian.com) appeared.

As at 22nd March 2020 01:20 GMT, (four months after the first case) China has had a total of 81,054 Coronavirus cases reported.

  • 72,440 (89.37% of reported cases) have officially recovered.
  • 3,261 (4.02% of reported cases) have died.
  • 1,845 (2.28% of reported cases) are still in Serious or Critical condition.
  • 3,508 (4.33% of reported cases) are reported as being in Mild condition.

As at 20th March 2020 22:30 GMT

274,413 Coronavirus cases have been ‘reported’ worldwide. Many more infected people may not have even been tested.

  • 90,942 of these have officially recovered.
  • 11,357 have died.

172,114 people are still infected, of which:

  • 7,974 are in Serious or Critical condition
  • 164,140 are in Mild condition

As at 19th March 2020 23:15 GMT

244,799 Coronavirus cases have been ‘reported’ worldwide. Many more infected people may not have even been tested.

  • 87,407 of these have officially recovered.
  • 10,030 have died.

147,362 people are still infected, of which:

  • 7,516 are in Serious or Critical condition
  • 139,846 are in Mild condition

As at 16th March 2020

174,131 Coronavirus cases have been ‘reported’ worldwide. Many more infected people may not have even been tested.

  • 77,865 of these have officially recovered.
  • 6,984 have died.

89,582 people are still infected.


As at 13th March 2020

139,061 Coronavirus cases have been ‘reported’ worldwide. Many more infected people may not have even been tested.

  • 70,727 of these have officially recovered.
  • 5,116 have died.

63,218 people are still infected.
