Scottish Income tax rate to rise to 50%?
England is governed by a democratically elected body of 650 members from constituencies in England (82%), Scotland (9%), Wales (6%) and Northern Ireland (3%). England has no separate government.
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have their own Government body, to oversea their own interests.
Scottish Income Tax Rates
From April 2017, the income tax rates and bands payable by Scottish taxpayers will be those set by the Scottish Parliament. The Scottish rates and bands will then be set annually by the Scottish Parliament.
