Ukraine troops land on Crimea to celebrate Ukraine Independence.
Ukraine celebrated its 32nd year of independence from the Soviet Union on Thursday, 24 August 2023.
The celebration was marked with an attack on the Russians that have been occupying Crimea since their invasion started in 2014.
Ukraine’s navy and military intelligence carried out a “special operation” overnight with units landing in Crimea.
