The US President Impeachment.

The US President has been impeached.

The US President has now been charged (impeached), what is next?

Impeach definition is – to charge with a crime or misdemeanor. According to the American Merriam-Webster dictionary.

Innocent until proven guilty is still the normal procedure.

Most people seem to expect that the US President will remain as President until his term ends on 20th January 2021.

The recent notification on the US Department of State website, saying “Donald Trump’s term as US president “ended” on Jan. 11 at 7:40 p.m. ET” was incorrect.  Maybe wishful thinking by someone editing the page.

The House impeached President Trump for inciting an insurrection against the government, and 10 Republicans joined Democrats to do so. Senator Mitch McConnell said he would not agree to use emergency powers to bring the Senate back into session for a trial before Jan. 19.
