Capt Sir Tom Moore has been knighted in a unique personal ceremony.
The 100 year old Captain Tom Moore has been knighted in the Queen’s first official engagement in person since the lockdown.
The investiture was staged in a “personal unique ceremony” at Windsor Castle, on Friday 17th July 2020, and Tom Moore did NOT have to kneel in front of the Queen.
He had earlier said that he could not kneel before the queen, “because if I did I’ll never get up again“.
