The Apple Mix Ingredients:
- Half a cup of Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Plain Flour
- Half a teaspoon of Cinnamon
- 3 pinches of Salt
- 3 medium sized Cooking Apples
- 4 ‘sugar cube sized’ pieces of unsalted Butter
Mix the dry ingredients (Sugar, Flour, Cinnamon and salt) together and then add the peeled and sliced apples to the mix, coating the apple as much as possible.
Place the apple mix in the bottom pastry layer and add the butter on top of the apple, before laying the top piece of pastry.
The Pastry Ingredients
Still not sure I have found the best pastry yet, but a Shortcrust pastry on the bottom, and a flaky sweet pastry on top seems best.

Cooking the Aple Pie
Bake the Apple Pie at 200C for 50 minutes, covering the edge of the pastry with foil to avoid it burning.
You can remove this foil for the last 10 minutes if you wish.
