Hamas Didn’t Expect this Response.
Hamas military invaded Israel and murdered around a 1,000 civilians, men, women, children and babies. Some in horrific ways.
Israel responded with an invasion of the Gaza strip, ruled by Hamas.
Senior Hamas political leadership member Ali Barakeh claimed they “didn’t expect this much of a response” from the US following the attack on Israel on 7 October 2023.
“An Israeli response? Yes, we expected that. But what we’re seeing now is the entrance of the US into the battle, and this we didn’t count on.”
US involvement in Gaza.
The US has stationed some warships in the area, to try to stop other countries getting involved in the fighting. The US is not otherwise involving their troops in any military action.
Iran, which funds Hamas, has threatened that America would be attacked unless the Jewish state stops attacking Gaza.
Iran-backed militia have already been attacking US forces in the region.
