Upon arrival, travelers with a Thai Tourist Visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days.

Which answer is right?

The explanation:

A person CAN get a 6 month Visa to visit Thailand, BUT, that person must leave Thailand at least every 60 days, and come back in again after getting a border extension.

So:

  • You can get a 6 month Tourist Visa
  • You can only stay in Thailand for up to 60 days at a time
  • It is possible to get a 30 day extension at an Immigration Office without leaving the country. This makes 90 days without leaving the country.
