She was born at 17 Bruton Street, Mayfair, London, the home of the Duchess of York’s parents.

Her father became King George VI on 11 December 1936, and he died on 6th February 1952.

Elizabeth became Queen on 6th February 1952, and her coronation was held on 2nd June 1953.
