Explosion on Crimea Bridge Kills 3.
The blast and fire sent part of the 12-mile Kerch Strait bridge tumbling into the sea and killed three people according to Russian authorities. One of them was the driver of the truck.
Russia’s Federal Security Service said that it had detained five Russians in connection with the Crimean Bridge bombing.

The bridge is the primary military supply route linking Russia with Ukraine. Without it, the Russian military will be severely limited in its ability to bring fuel, equipment and ammunition to Russian units fighting in Ukraine.
Those facts make this bridge a valuable military asset, and tempting military target.
