George W Bush and Jerusalem, the Capital of Israel..

In 2000, in a comment to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), George W Bush (who became the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009) promised to move the US embassy to Jerusalem, after he became President, with the statement: “Something will happen when I’m president: as soon as I take office I will begin the process of moving the US ambassador to the city Israel has chosen as its capital.”

However, this did not actually happen, after he became President.
