One of my websites uses the e107 Template, and in the last few days I have had a LOT of email notifications of IP addresses being auto-banned due to:
Reason: Hit count exceeded (101 requests within allotted time)
I began to check who has been flooding me, and got quite a surprise….
The first few I checked were:
- Australian Department of Defence
- SingTel Optus Pty Ltd
- Mater Hospitals
- Telstra Internet Address Registry
It seems that the flood ban stops genuine visitors. I am un-banning these ones immediately.
