Premium Bond Winners in December 2017

UK Premium Bond Winners, with Prizes of £5,000 or more, in December 2017

Having just looked at the December 2017 Premium Bond major prize winners, I was curious about how the older bond numbers were doing, and was surprised at the incidence of winners per year.

Over half the major prizes, in December 2017, were won by Premium Bonds purchased during 2014 to 2017.  I wonder if this means that more Premium Bonds are being sold in recent years, as the draw is after all, totally random.

One of the £1 million prizes was won by a bond purchased in 2016, the other purchased in 2005

The purchase dates of the winnings bonds this month were:

24 winning numbers were purchased in 2017
