Yemen’s Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree, has announced that the Yemeni armed forces have targeted the “Lewis B Puller” vessel of the US Navy in the Gulf of Aden.
“USS Lewis B. Puller (FFG-23)” was commissioned into the US Navy on 17 April 1982.
This is the USA Lewis B. Puller in 1983, similar to the image in the Tehran report.
She was decommissioned on 18 September 1998, and sold to Egypt that same day, being renamed “ENS Toushka”.
The current “USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB-3)” was commissioned into the US Navy on 17 August 2017.
