A quick Google search for “The First President in the World” comes up with this:
On 30 April 1789, George Washington became the first President of the United States.
However…
Filippo Antonio Pasquale de’ Paoli was the President of the Executive Council of the General Diet of the People of Corsica between 18 November 1755 and 9 May 1769.
The first President in the world was at least 34 years before the first President of the United States.
There are other Presidents, other than leaders of a country, and these go back to at least the 1400s.
