Will Hydroxychloroquine help some people with COVID-19?
It has been mentioned that Donald Trump is touting a drug that is not proven to work on COVID-19, and that he has a financial interest in a French company that makes hydroxychloroquine. The question was asked “How many billions will he make from people dying by using a Med that does not work?“.
The question referred to this article: yahoo.com/…/trump-small-personal-financial-interest
“If hydroxychloroquine becomes an accepted treatment, several pharmaceutical companies stand to profit, including shareholders and senior executives with connections to the president,”
The answer does appear to come down to how SMALL his “small personal financial interest in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil“, according to the link, actually is. It could be between $99 and $1,485 according to marketwatch.com ‘Trump’s personal stake in the malaria-drug maker Sanofi could be as small as $99’.
Trump actually has a small stake in basically every big company you can think of.
Regarding the point of the drug NOT working..
The article states: “some hospitals in New York are using the drug to treat COVID-19, with mixed results” and the question has stated this means the drug “does not work“.
