Netherlands General Election 2017..

A General Elections was held in the Netherlands on Wednesday 15 March 2017 to elect all 150 members of the House of Representatives.

The Official Result will be announced on 21st March 2017

Initial Figures show the following voting results:

  • 20.4% VVD People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy
  • 12.6% PVV Party for Freedom
  • 12.3% CDA Christian Democratic Appeal
  • 12.2% D66 Democrats 66
  • 9.5% GL GroenLinks
  • 8.9% SP Socialist Party
  • 6% PvdA Labour Party
  • 3.6% CU Christian Union
  • 3.3% PvdD Party for the Animals
  • 3% 50+ 50PLUS
  • 2.6% DENK DENK
  • 2.1% SGP Reformed Political Party
  • 1.7% FvD Forum for Democracy

The Main Parties, with number of seats held before the Election, are:

  • 40 – VVD – People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy
  • 35 – PvdA – Labour Party
  • 15 – SP – Socialist Party
  • 13 – CDA – Christian Democratic Appeal
  • 12 – PVV – Party for Freedom
  • 12 – D66 – Democrats
  • 5 – CU – Christian Union
  • 4 – GL – GreenLeft
  • 3 – SGP – Reformed Political Party
  • 2 – PvdD – Party for the Animals
  • 1 – 50PLUS – 50PLUS
  • 8 – Independent
