Racial Inequality of Wages in the United States of America

While gathering data for my own Big Mac Index ( how many Big Mac’s you can buy with one weeks wages), I came across some US wage figures based on race.

Median weekly earnings of full-time wage and salary workers by Race. (Asian, White, Black and Hispanic/Latino)

Race and Sex Year 2009 Year 2010
    Asian
    ALL $880 $855
    Male $952 $936
    Female $779 $773
    White
    ALL $757 $765
    Male $845 $850
    Female $669 $684
    Black or African American
    ALL $601 $611
    Male $621 $633
    Female $582 $592
    Hispanic or Latino
    ALL $541 $535
