Mid-Autumn Festival

I ended up being very confused this morning, I received a text message on my phone saying: Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Before my morning coffee I do get easily confused, but this seemed worse than normal.  Winter has just ended, and I thought that Spring followed Winter, but it made me think, is it Spring now or Autumn… ?

Well, after my Coffee, I did some checking, and found “The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節) is also known as the Mooncake Festival”.
Mad things happen involving the Moon, so maybe that explains it…

The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on dates from the Chinese calendar, and falls on September 12 in 2011, and September 30 in 2012. It is the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar, which could be sometime in either September or October for us.

I don’t recognise the Text senders name or number, so maybe it was just a wrong number ?

Oh well, I learned something new today…
