A 68 year old man was South Korea’s first MERS case..
South Korea’s first MERS case was traced to a 68 year old man returning from a trip to the Middle East in May 2015.
With 166 people infected in the South Korean outbreak, at 19th June 2015, this is the largest outbreak other than in Saudi Arabia. It has mainly spread through hospitals with a total of 24 deaths so far.
