Six days a week at school if Julia Gillards wins !!!
Facebook has a lot to answer for.
I don’t when it began, but it sure has spread.
Someone, on Facebook, tells the world that if Julia Gillard wins, all school children in Australia will have to attend school 6 days a week.
Now that Julia Gillard has won, we have kids coming home from school thinking that it may happen.
From what I have seen, at some stage, a journalist asked Julia Gillard if she was interested in a 6 day school week, and from that it snowballs.
Then it hits Facebook, and the entire school aged population gets access to that, and some believe it may actually happen.
There are days when I worry about the influence that some social media sites have on our children, and on some adults….
.
For the record…. Â There is NO PLAN for a six day school week.
.
(I hope)

People need to smarten up as to what is going on in schools.
Some schools in the UK now have bouncers on the gates (who ask parents if they have ‘permission’ to pick up their child – in this case a three year old – early) and full time police officers on the sites, along with full-time nurses, hostels now being built on school sites…..
Plans are in place for dealing with unexpected deaths of children on school premises. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:RTMgtCfwFykJ:www.lifeinthemixtalk.com/%3Fp%3D17197

Pay close attention. Gillard is moving in on your children.
Even though the ‘lifeinthemixtalk’ website is currently down, links to the cached versions are in the following:

For the record….
There is NO PLAN for a six day school week.
Julia Gillard had no plans for this, it was a beat up media story, with no reality.
In my opinion, Gillard has no chance of “moving in on our children”.
I will do a page on the “John Adam Street Gang” which you have referred to, on http://www.abcdiamond.co.uk/john-adam-street-gang
My daughter lives with her mother who rarely takes her to school anyway. The government does nothing about attendance rates under %60 and her other kids dropped out in year 8. Even if there was a 6 day school week they wouldn’t be able to enforce it as they are completely lacking in the ability to enforce a 5 day school week.
