Recent Adverts from Coles Supermarket have been saying that they now sell Hormone Free chicken.
A bit odd really, as ALL Australia chicken had been Hormone Free since the 1960′s.
It makes me wonder, if Coles have somehow actually been selling chicken with added hormones for the last 40+ years, even though it has been illegal.
I’ll stick with Woolworths, they appear to still sell the same chickens they have for the last 40+ years, all hormone free.
What else do Coles sell, that may be a bit suspect ?

I read that Steggles commissioned a study by Newspoll among 1000 people and results showed that 76 per cent remained under the misconception that the use of hormones and steroids occurred in chicken production.
I would say that this is the reason for the all the recent marketing around Hormone free chicken – it’s great to see them clearing the myths around this topic.
I feel confident buying Steggles and Lilydale free range chicken.
